UAE Condemns Violence in Gaza and Somalia, Urges Protection of Civilians

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has issued strong condemnations over two separate acts of violence in Gaza and Somalia.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the Israeli attack on the Hamad Prosthetics Hospital in Gaza, which resulted in civilian casualties.

The Ministry labeled the strike a grave breach of international humanitarian law and emphasized the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region due to such actions.

Reaffirming its firm opposition to targeting civilians and critical infrastructure such as hospitals and medical personnel, the UAE called for immediate international intervention to safeguard health facilities and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those in desperate need.

The UAE also reiterated its unwavering support for a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, advocating for a two-state solution that would establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.

In a separate statement, the UAE condemned the recent terrorist attack on a military base in Mogadishu, Somalia, which resulted in numerous fatalities. The Ministry extended heartfelt condolences to the Somali government, its people, and the victims' families.

The UAE further reaffirmed its stance against terrorism in all forms and urged the global community to intensify efforts to combat extremism and reinforce peace and stability in Somalia.
